MAKING A JACK-O'-LANTERN

Tomorrow it's Halloween and today we have learnt and we have carved a Halloween pumpkin to make a Jack-o'-Lantern. Parents have come to the school to help us. So, today the foreign language assistant has shown us how they celebrate Halloween in Canada and we have seen different videos about this festivity. Here there are some pictures so you can see how funny it has been.

AUTUMN

As we are in autumn, we have started working the features of autumn season and what types of fruits  and dried fruits we eat in this season.

First we have learnt that in autumn the leaves change their coulour (orange, yellow, red and brown) and when it's windy all the leaves fall down.

Kid 2:Yes, here you are.
Kid 1: Thank you.

This year, we have started working the parts of the body to see what children remember. We have used the famous song "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" to review some basic parts of the body.

Likewise, we have learnt what different actions we can do using different parts of the body at the same time we worked the difference between boys and girls. For that, we used a very funny song that we love:

WELCOME! ¡BIENVENIDOS!

Welcome to the five years class bilingual blog!
This year, the five years old children at the Tierno Galván are receiving five lessons a week in English, as a part of a bilingual program. Therefore, we have created this blog to show the parents what we do in the bilingual lessons and, at the same time, give them some resources to practice with their children. In this blog we are going to upload the songs, videos, online games... we used in the classroom so that parents can show them to their children at home and they can continue practising and learning English.
